Many apologies for the lack of updates here for a while. I've got used to posting all of my news on the forum, and seem to have got out of the habit of using this news section. Anyway, since the last update, I've added WE7a Lycanthropes I, WE8a Wolves, WE8b Dire Wolves, WE8c Wolf Pack & WE9a Satyr to the Wilderness Encounter range. I also have greens for WE7b Lycanthropes II, UD5a Ghouls I and DM21a & b Carcass Scavengers. These will be going for moulding soon, and should be available for sale in late June.
I will be taking a holiday in the second half of June, so any orders placed between 14th and 28th will not be shipped out until I return to work. However, all orders placed between these dates will receive a pack of assorted treasure items which will not be released on general sale.

I've been a bit lax with my updates here, but if you want more up-to-date news, you could do a lot worse than visit the forum. Meanwhile, I now have all the greens for the March new releases, and they'll soon be on their way to Griffin Moulds. They're all now available for pre-order in the Coming Soon section of the webstore.

The new releases are now available in their various sections of the store. There will be slight delay to the release of WE3a, the Centaur with Spear, while we iron out a minor casting issue, but this shouldn't take long.

Happy New Year everyone! I've just sent the new greens to Griffin Moulds, so the GB2 & 3 Goblins, WE3 Centaurs, WE4 Giant Lizards and WE5 Lizardmen should be moulded and cast in the next week or so. The official release date for these is 20th January, but I may have the castings before that, and I'll send out pre-orders early if I can.
I'm working on a new Gelatinous Cube variant at the moment, this time containing some floating items of treasure. Watch out for photos of my prototype model on the forum soon.

I'm just recovering from a nasty bout of flu and have a backlog of orders to deal with, but I hope to have them cleared over the next few days. Many apologies if you're waiting for a shipment and haven't received the usual speedy delivery.
Also, this wet weather we're having is causing all sorts of problems with Gelatinous Cube production. I have no option other than to throw away the last couple of batches and wait for the humidity levels to drop, so apologies again if you're waiting for 'cubes.

I will try to get as many pre-orders shipped today as is possible, but I'm heading off to Belgium tomorrow for the Crisis convention in Antwerp, so some orders may be delayed until next week. I have taken delivery of the greens for Andrew Rae's stunning Dryad, Nymph and Sylph trio as well as Snuurg's new Troglodytes by Snuurg. I hope to have John Pickford's new Goblins in the next day or two, then they'll all be going to Griffin Moulds for casting, along with the remodelled Djinni and a pair of Ogre heads! This batch of new releases will be available from 4th November, and you can pre-order them now in the Coming Soon section of the webstore.

The new releases have recently been added to their various store pages. We had a moulding problem with DM15, and the castings all have a small flaw. This model has been withdrawn from sale until we can rectify the problem.
I'm hoping to be able to send another batch of greens for moulding and casting before the end of this month. Look out for our first pack of Goblins by John Pickford, some unarmed (but dangerous) Troglodytes by Snuurg, a trio of woodland babes by Andrew Rae, and an Ogre Mage by Tre Manor. I'll post more news about these soon (or you can visit our forum for more up-to-date information and pics of the greens).

Just a quick update; the new Gelatinous Cube models can now be found in the DM Series section of the webstore, the greens for DM15 - Djinni and WE1 - Owlbear are now in my possession and waiting for the imminent arrival of DM10c - Troglodyte Shaman & Chieftain and DM17 - Hook Horror, to make up the next master mould. Expect all this lot to be available for the end of the month. I'll post more news about these soon (or you can visit the forum for more up-to-date information and pics of the greens).

I've just about caught up with the backlog of work caused by my short break and the arrival of the June new releases. All outstanding orders are now packed and ready to ship on Monday, and the new releases are now transferred to the relevant pages of the store. The new stuff includes the Hobgoblin and Kobold boxed sets, the Kobold Tribal Pack, a new set of Slimes and Kev White's beautiful/hideous Medusa! Check out the forum for details of the next batch of releases which are due in mid-August.

I'm going to be taking a short holiday from the end of this week. Any orders placed between Friday 19th June and Sunday 28th June will be processed and shipped as soon as possible in the week beginning Monday 29th June. Anyone who places an orders while I'm away will get small gift from sunny Britanny!
The greens for the next batch of releases are on the way to the casters, and we're on schedule for a 30th June release date for the Hobgoblin and Kobold boxeds sets, the Kobold Tribal Pack, Slimes & Oozes II, and hopefully the new Medusa, who will be making her own way to Griffin Moulds in the next couple of days.

I now have all the greens for the next release, and they'll be shipped off to Griffin Moulds tomorrow for moulding and casting. I expect to have them available by 8th May 2009. The May releases will be; DM4b - Troll II sculpted by Paul Muller, DM13 - Giant Frogs (3) by Jo Brumby, KB4 - Kobold Command (5) by John Pickford and HH1a - Expedition Mule (unladen) by eBob. They can all be seen, and pre-ordered, in the Coming Soon section of the webstore.
I'm afraid that the forum is still out of action. It appears that the data has probably been corrupted by the hacking attacks that we suffered on the previous host's servers, and it is going to be impossible to retrieve any of the posts from the last year or so. It looks like we'll have to start from scratch with a new forum, and I hope to have something in place by the end of next week.

I've just moved the website to new web-hosts. Hopefully that should see an end to the problems we've had over the last few weeks with persistent hacker attacks. Unfortunately the forum hasn't transferred correctly, and may be offline for a short time until I can get some expert advice. Sorry for the inconvenience.

As you can see, it's been a while since I updated this section. I've had a bit of a rough time health-wise. I've been suffering from pancreatitis, a very painful and debilitating condition in which the pancreas is severely inflamed. In my case it was caused by gall stones, but after having my gall bladder removed, and all the gallstone residue finally removed, it looks like I'm on the road to recovery at last.
I've obviously been out of action for a while, but things are now getting back on track, albeit a bit behind my intended schedule. The new DM12a Harpies are now available in the webstore, along with KB2 & 3 Kobold Warriors II & III and the HG5d Hobgoblin Standard Bearer.
I've recently received the greens of the forthcoming KB4 Kobold Command Set as well as some master models of flagstone flooring pieces to fit the 25mm square and round bases which are provided with a lot of Otherworld Miniatures. In the next week or 2 I hope to take delivery of the greens of DM4a Troll II, DM13 Giant Frogs (3), HG7 Hobgoblin Tribal Pack and possibly DM14 Medusa (although this may be delayed until next month).
You may have noticed a redesign of the logo at the top of each page of the website, and the blister packaging has also been redesigned along the same lines, so watch out for a new look next time you buy a pack of figures.
Anyway, many thanks to everyone who has continued to support Otherworld Miniatures during the last few difficult months. After a bit of a false start to the year, I'm now looking forward to an exciting and productive 2009!

I've not been too well recently, but I'm starting to recover now. I'm also starting to catch up with a backlog of work. Just added to the webstore are the new releases for January; DV3 Giant Rats, DV4 Fire Beetles, DD4 Type II Demon and the DM11 Shriekers/Violet Fungi. I have also added the pewter versions of the 4 Giants.

After a very trying last week, the new packs of UD1b - Skeletons II, HG5 - Hobgoblin Command and HG6 - Hobgoblin Guards I are finally available for sale. You can find them in their respective range pages.
I have also just received the greens for the DV3 Giant Rats, and they are superb. I'll try to post some photos in the forum as soon as I get chance. The DV4 Fire Beetles are also done, and I also hope to get my hands on Kev Adams' new DM11 - Shriekers & Violet Fungi later this week. Unfortunately, this lot will have to wait until after Christmas for moulding and casting, but they should be available in mid-January, along with Paul Muller's new DD4 - Type II Demon, which is progressing nicely.
The promised metal castings of the G1-4 Giants series have also arrived. I'm very pleased with the way these have turned out, and they'll be on sale soon (at the same price as the original resins).

Unfortunately, the DV3 Giant Rats didn't make it in time, so they will be delayed by a couple of weeks. I still hope to have them before the year is out, along with the DV4 Fire Beetles and DM11 Shriekers & Violet Fungi.
Also due to arrive next week from Griffin Moulds will be prototype metal castings of the G1-4 Giants series. If these go well, they'll be on sale as an option to the current resin models.

On Monday 24th November, I'll be paying a visit to Griffin Moulds in Birmingham. They're the company that does all of my metal casting. I will be collecting the castings of DD3 - Type I Demon, KB1 - Kobold Warriors I and DM10a - Troglodytes I. They will be blister-packed the following day, then available for sale by Wednesday 26th. Pre-orders will also ship out on the same day.
Meanwhile, on the sculpting front, Kev Adams is currently working on HG5 - Hobgoblin Command and HG6 - Hobgoblin Guards I, Jo Brumby is sculpting DV3 - Giant Rats and Paul Muller is making good progress with UD1b - Skeletons II. I expect them all to be finished by the end of November, and they'll go for moulding and casting soon after. We're still on track for a release date of 12th December for all of these.

This morning I received the DD3 - Type I Demon green from Paul Muller. It's another superb piece of work from a tremendously talented sculptor. Unfortunately I didn't get chance to take any photos before sending it off for casting this afternoon (along with the Troglodytes & Kobolds), but the metals should be back from Griffin soon, and I'll post proper images as soon as I can.

It has been a great success, and I'm now able to fund the commissioning and production of all the new stuff I had planned for the next 3 months. The Giant Centipedes, previously listed as DM10, will be the first figures in a new range called 'Dungeon Vermin', which will soon include Giant Ticks, Giant Leeches, Giant Rats, Large Spiders and other creepy-crawly stuff.

I have just received the castings of the new metal releases (DM1d, DM5b & c, DM7). Griffin Moulds have again done a superb job of the moulding and casting. I hope to get these packaged in the next day or two, and shipped out in time for the expected release date on Friday 23rd May. The Purple Worm is still on schedule for a 6th June release.

Bad news on the pricing of the Purple Worm. I'm afraid that it's going to cost more to produce than the original estimate, so I will have to raise the selling price from £25 to £30. I'll leave the price at £25 until the end of May 2008, so put your order in now if you want one, but it will go up on 1st June. Many apologies, I don't like doing this, but I don't have a choice.
I have also posted an updated release schedule for the whole of 2008 on the forum.
